Dream Analysis

“Dreams are the guiding words of the soul. Why should I henceforth not love my dreams and not make their riddling images into objects of my daily consideration? “

– Carl Jung, The Red Book

Dreams are window in our soul. Dreams are the medium through which our Subconscious and Unconscious mind communicates with us. It brings up our shadows and traits that need to be healed and sometimes it also tells us also tells us what is in store for us, in the future. Warns us about things we are overlooking in our everyday life. Often when a past life is ready for healing, it surfaces in our dreamscape. Unresolved trauma, hidden secrets and passive side show up as well.

Every person has their own unique visual vocabulary, dream motifs to depict inner landscape and fears, emotions and yes shadows. That is the beauty and mysticism of dreams. It’s the language of subconscious that our conscious mind reads and interprets according to its level of awareness.

Though the question remains why would the Subconscious and the Unconscious go to such an elaborate lengths to show us something? The simple answer would be so that it can bypass our critical filters, we block ourselves from seeing or knowing our truth. Focussing largely on the ills of the world around and in people around us, thus missing the point. We suit our world view to our ego and seldom with our soul. That is why, dreams can be a powerful medium to tune in to our Inner wisdom, and bypass our ego blind spots.

“Nights through dreams tell the myths forgotten by the day.”

-Carl Jung

Dream Analysis

Often dreams are signals from subconscious. So either there is something in our energies to clear or something important for us to understand.

Dreams puzzle and intrigue us, especially if they strong enough for us to not ignore them. Or repetitive dreams, dream series or shocking dreams. May be you see yourself trapped somewhere, or in a situation repeatedly. For instance you see your teeth falling or feel trapped in a room or see reptiles in your dreams.

All these have significance as they are coded messages from your subconscious, which needs to be decoded and understood. Our subconscious is very powerful, and it remembers things that we are not aware of, like our insecurities, fears, likes and dislikes.

As C.J. Jung said, our conscious is connected to super consciousness and thus is a part of collective consciousness. Our subconscious is also capable of giving us hints about the future events which is commonly known as premonitions.

Sometimes premonition dreams are direct and clear and sometimes they are metaphoric. Such dreams are difficult for us to interpret or understand…
