Do the ‘Work’, quietly, patiently and diligently. Remember you don’t get to fool God.

Often we want to heal everyone we love or fix them so we do not get disturbed. Often people drag their unwilling family members or loved ones to healing and workshop. Sometimes it backfires, they become enablers further weaken or create dependency.

As in AA (Alcoholic Anonymous) you cannot help someone unless they are ready to be helped.

Not everyone overcomes their addictions, be it substance or past memories, emotions or self-pity. Need to have a perfect life to be happy or humble is also a common addiction. So when it comes to ‘helping’ others, listen to your inner wisdom. We seldom have idea of the souls story, so if our response is inner guided we would know how to respond, as no two situations or people are same.

Slowly we realise..Not everyone heals nor is everything cured. Karma takes precedence over our wishes and prayers. Though the realm of Divine grace and it’s miracles are always a heart beat away. God is mysterious as is the to healing and the light. As Carl Jung put it, “The right way to wholeness is made up of fateful detours and wrong turnings.”

Karma dedicates our healing curve as does our learning curve. Not every relationship will heal or ailment would go away. We can’t wish or pray them away if they are part of our soul curriculum. Sometimes the answer to pray is no, we can’t get everything that we want.

Wilfulness is also a tricky addiction, we think we are wiser than life and can manipulate life and even divine forces. They feel they are exempted from law of karma, and that they haven’t harmed anyone. Often they believe themselves to pious soul, but the forced piety seldom masquerades souls darkness. Few people want to venture to their dark lifetimes or dark traits. So they look for things that will quickly fix everything, in one clean sweep.

For example to heal, many people run after healing modalities and healers, rather than sit still, do prayer and sewa (selfless service). They are unwilling to learn any knew belief. Often they believe they have it all figured out, even their healing path. Stuck in their sense of entitlement they miss the first step on the path – humility. They also forget to go within and decipher the healing roadmap God imprinted on their soul. That which is revealed by their life story.

Grow where you are planted.

Just as when the student is ready the teacher arrives, when a person is ready to heal they right doctor or healer arrives. The rest keep wandering in vain. Sometimes in vanity. Some people remain seekers, dilettante jumping from one healing path to another. Alas they learn that hard way. When they face the impenetrable wall of karma.

Truth is some addicts never get out of their darkness. That’s the suffering and learning for the family. That’s is why, the practice of ‘Letting go and Let God’ as suggested by AA helps sometimes.

Just as faith is for the innocent. Not the witty or the smart. Being innocent even naive with God is real wisdom. Then trust comes easy. He can push you to growth easily. Then you can spot
Divine chaos and step into a students role rather than a victim.

Be humble.

Learn to spot divine footprints in your troubles. Then be still and ask: What do you want me to learn? What would you rather have me do?

Relationship with the Divine comes in many forms. That’s why, traditionally surrender happens in many ways. Like innocent trust of a child to his divine parents (Bal), a divine friend (sakha), devotee (dasa) and Beloved (prem bhava), we can build a relationship with the divine at any level. Slowly it develops and things fall into place, we do.

Hang in there. Renovation of ones life doesn’t happen in a hurry. Enough patience and humility are required, and yes diligence.

We need to allow life to take it’s course. The return journey seldom happens in a day, nor does unlearning.

Keep at it, with perseverance.
